The Bridgeport Purple Knights is an athletic team representing Bridgeport University, located in Bridgeport, Connecticut, at the NCAA Second Division inter-college sports.
The Purple Knights compete as members of the East Coast Conference for most sports; male and female swimming programs are members of the Metropolitan Swimming Conference and the gymnastics program is part of the Eastern College Athletic Conference.

In 2012, women's Bridgeport University gymnastics team won their National Championship National Championship Fourth National Championship. Also, in 2013 UB women's gymnastics team won the fifth US Championship of Gymnastics National Championship in a row.
