RÃÆ' Â © gine Zylberberg , (born Regina Zylberberg , December 26, 1929) better known as RÃÆ' Â © gine , is a Belgian-born French singer and impresaria nightclub. He calls himself "Queen of the Night".

Biography
RÃÆ' Â © gine was born in Etterbeek, Belgium to Polish-Jewish parents. and spent much of his original life hiding from the Nazis in the wartime occupied by France. Here, he told writer-director Michael Feeney Callan, who documented his home life in his TV series, My Riviera, through his shortcomings and poverty, he developed a lifetime obsession with shoes: "We are poor, we are not have nothing, so [shoes] become a symbol of freedom. "
After the war, RÃÆ'Â © gine became a torch singer and in 1953 was a famous nightclub manager in Paris. He is widely associated with modern discothÃÆ'¨que discovery, based on creating a new, dynamic atmosphere in Paris' Whiskey ÃÆ' Gogo, with jukeboxes everywhere being replaced by disc jockey using related turntables. In 1957, he opened the Chez RÃÆ' © gine in the Latin Quarter, which quickly became a visible place for playboys and princes. When the celebrity RÃ © gine developed, he founded other places with the name Chez RÃÆ'Â © gine in London, New York, Monte Carlo, and elsewhere. These are ultra-selective places in major urban locations, all featuring the signature "disco-style" layout. It is commonly accepted that Paris Whiskey RÃÆ'Â Â gine ÃÆ' Gogo is an inspiration for the formation of a Whiskey a Go Go nightclub in Los Angeles. His two attempts to open a club in London failed in a few months and he blamed this on what he called the English "lack of style". He also founded Jimmy'z, a nightclub in Monaco, in 1974.
In addition to creating a discotheque concept, RÃÆ'Ã © gine introduced France to Twist, after seeing the West Side Story player warm up on Chubby Checker's notes. After that, he famously taught community leaders, like the Duke of Windsor, to do Twist. The circle of her celebrity friends is huge and for more than a decade she leads a multimillion dollar nightclub empire. He was favored in the French media in particular and aligned his business life with a career in performance, scoring a hit singles famous for the French version of Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive". Throughout the 1970s, he also appeared in small roles in a number of French films.
During the expansion of his business empire in the 1970s, RÃÆ'Â © gine moved to New York and stayed in the Hotel Delmonico suite where he opened one of his clubs on the ground floor of the hotel. The club serves food under the direction of French chef Michel Guerard. At this time there are 25 clubs carrying his name on three continents and it is said that you can party somewhere RÃÆ'Â © gine somewhere in the world 17 hours from every 24. In June 2011, he appeared as Solange at Follies at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. She lives with her husband in St Tropez. He has one son, Lionel, from his first husband Leon Rothcage whom he married when he was 16 years old.
