Long Island Jewish Forest Hills is an educational hospital that operates under the Northwell Health hospital network. Located in Forest Hills, New York. The hospital is affiliated with Donald and Barbara Zucker Medical School in Hofstra/Northwell, which sponsors the residency program in internal medicine. The hospital also serves as the host of the podiatry residency program.

Histori
The hospital first opened on 13 August 1953 as Forest Hills General Hospital. In May 1963, the District Attorney opened the agency's financial investigation after a former employee reported that the hospital administration was involved in the Blue Cross billing scheme. The scandal led to the closure of the hospital in November 1963. In 1964, the hospital reopened as LaGuardia Hospital, now under the management of HIP. He was later acquired by the North Shore health system in 1996 and renamed the North Shore University Hospital in Forest Hills. In 2006, the hospital was renamed Forest Hills Hospital.
In 2016, Northwell Health announced that the state of New York had approved a request to operate the hospital under its network. The hospital was later renamed the Long Island Jewish Forest Hills.

Services
The hospital currently manages 312 beds and offers in-patient medical, surgical, intensive care, midwifery and gynecology services in general. The Department of Emergency at LIJ Forest Hills is a certified heart center and stroke center appointed by New York State. By 2017, hospitals report 16,500 hospitalized patients, more than 2,000 babies, and more than 50,000 Emergency Department visits.
