The King and Four Queens is the 1956 DeLuxe American comedy/mystery comedy film starring Clark Gable and Eleanor Parker at CinemaScope. Directed by Raoul Walsh, the film is based on a story written by Margaret Fitts, who also wrote a screenplay with Richard Alan Simmons.
This film is the first (and last) project of the production company Clark Gable, GABCO.

Plot
The story involves a middle-aged cowboy adventurer (Clark Gable) who knows that stolen luck remains buried on a farm that serves as home to four beautiful young widows and their mother-in-law; the wanderer lit his charm.

Production notes
At the request of Clark Gable, the film was taken at a location in southern Utah because he was familiar with the area, after hunting there for years. Recordings taken near St. George, Utah in Snow Canyon State Park and at Santa Clara River. Additional footage shot in Calabasas, California.
Book version
In 1956, Theodore Sturgeon made an original screenplay novel by Margaret Fitts for Dell Books, which published it in December 1956 as a 25-cent novel.
