Resorts World Manila is an integrated resort, located in Newport City, opposite Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3, in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. The resort is owned and operated by Travelers International Hotel Group, Inc. (TIHGI), a joint venture between Alliance Global Group and Genting Hong Kong. The project, occupying part of a former military camp, has four hotels, casino gambling areas, shopping centers, cinemas, restaurants, clubs and theaters. The soft launch of the resort takes place on August 28, 2009. Resorts World Manila is a partner resort of Resorts World Genting, Malaysia and Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore. It is the first integrated resort in Metro Manila, and from 2009 to 2013 it is the only one that operates until the opening of Solaire Resort & amp; Casino at Entertainment City, ParaÃÆ' Â ± aque on March 16, 2013, followed by the opening of City of Dreams Manila on December 14, 2014 at Roxas Boulevard.
On June 2, 2017, several fires and fires took place in and around the resort, causing 38 people to be killed and 54 injured due to destruction. The casino has temporarily halted its operations. and its permit was suspended by PAGCOR on June 9, 2017. The suspension of license was revoked on June 29, 2017 and on the same day Resort World Manila continued its gambling operations in the game area unaffected by the attack.

Theater
Newport Performance Theater is home to 1,500 seats for concerts, plays, musicals, conferences and other events. It was designed by Hong Kong interior designer, Joseph Sy. The theater front room also serves as a venue for various types of functions.
Theater production
Resorts World Manila has been producing and performing major musical theater per year since 2010 at the Newport Performing Arts theater. All of its products feature Filipino stage actors, with the exception of the first, the original concept show called Kaos.
- T-shirt (2010). An original concept show, T-shirts combine music style narration with acrobat and circus acts. Music-starring singer and theater actor Gian Magdanagal, Philippine-Canadian actress Martha Joy, and veteran Joel Trinidad in the lead role. The production featured Filipino players with Leo Tavarro Valdez, Jon Santos, Red Concepcion, and Michael Williams as the main actors; and Bituin Escalante, Lani Ligot, Timmy Canlas, Pinky Marquez, and Menchu ​​Lauchengco-Yulo in supporting roles. The musical was opened on May 9, 2014 under the direction of Jaime Del Mundo.
- Bituing Walang Ningning: The Musical (2015). This is the first original Pilipino work of the Adventist World Community, based on the series Comiks by Nerissa Cabral which was turned into a blockbuster movie in 1985. Newcomer starring Monica Cuenco music in the lead role as Dorina PIneda. Singer-actor Mark Bautista plays Dorina's love interest, Nico Escobar, while veteran theater Cris Villonco plays the role of Lavinia Arguelles, with actress Antoinette Taus alternating for a role in the show's second show. This musical features all Filipino songs, including classic songs written by Willy Cruz. Opened on June 18, 2015 under the direction of Freddie Santos.
- Annie (2016). The story of a small orphan boy and a steady optimism in the New York Depression era is based on the popular comic book "Little Orphan Annie" by Harold Gray, with a book by Thomas Meehan, Music by Charles Strouse and Lyrics by Martin Charnin. Resorts World Manila officially opened in July 2015 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom. Mentioned as the largest ballroom hotel in the Philippines, its main feature is a 3,000 square meter pillarless ballroom that can hold up to 2,500 people for banquets, and up to 4,500 for concert arrangements. The main ballroom can be divided into four sections for smaller events, but there is nowhere else in the facility for a total of 28 spaces for various events.
Casino
Resorts World Manila has a gambling area that occupies three floors in its main casino, featuring table games, slot machines and electronic table games. Other gambling spaces are available at Remington Entertainment Center at Remington Hotel.
2017 casino attack
On June 2nd, 2017 at midnight, 36 people died of shortness of breath with 70 others injured after a gunman set fire to gambling tables and slot machine chairs inside the Resorts World Manila casino. On Friday, the gunman was found dead at the Maxims Hotel adjacent to the casino. The gunman was later identified as Jessie Carlos.
