Seaburn is a seaside resort and northeastern suburb of Sunderland, North East England. The village of Whitburn is bordered by the area to the north. To the west and southwest are Fulwell and to the south of the coastal resort of Roker.

Almost all Seaburn consists of low-density private housing interspersed with open-air gardens, set in the middle of the 20th century. Most of the housing is among the most expensive in Sunderland, with many large houses located along the coast, and in adjacent streets.

The waterfront is home to a sandy blue sand beach, beachfront promenade, 2 game arenas, children's playground, fish and chips shop, small guesthouse and one four-star hotel, operated by Marriott. The main shopping street is Sea Road, which runs from the seafront via Fulwell to the Seaburn Metro station.

The area around Queens Parade has 'strips' of popular eateries, with three Italian restaurants, two Indians and two Chinese restaurants operating in 2009. Also trading some pubs and coffee shops. In the late 1980s, the old Seaburn Hall site was rebuilt, with Morrisons supermarket, amusement park and new fitness and leisure center. Previously, Seaburn Hall has become a famous dance hall and live music venue. It was built in 1939 as part of a development scheme that also includes a waterfront and a night market.

Seaburn is a favorite spot for painter L. S. Lowry. A large Lowry painting is featured at a local Morrison supermarket.

The popular Sunderland International Airshow is held on the beach in Seaburn and Roker and is the largest free event of its kind in Europe, with various aircraft, civilian and military aircraft on display.

On Tyne and Wear Metro Seaburn is served by its own station.

The suburbs are part of the Fulwell ward at Sunderland City Council, and are represented by three members of the Conservative council.
